There’s a getting started guide on the wiki, which will take you from scratch to a hello world-esque example up and running within 10 minutes.
For the impatient, there’s a 1-minute getting started version of the above document as well.
Next hit the wiki main page for an overview of the rest of the documentation.
For API documentation (javadocs) on the latest release, see http://api.neo4j.org/current/. The javadocs are typically included in the release tarball as well.
Two articles have been written about Neo:
- The Neo technology introduction is an 8-page PDF that describes the high-level concepts of Neo. It puts the technology in perspective and describes advantages and disadvantages with developing applications on top of Neo. It doesn’t give you a whole lot of code-level information, but if you have 20 minutes to spare, this is the best introduction to Neo to date.
- There’s an introductory three-page article about Neo in JayView. As soon as we get our hands on a digital version, we’ll have a locally-hosted copy here.
If you have further questions or need help to get started, please just drop a note to the mailing list and we’ll be happy to help you out!
